A Week in Pictures

There are certain moments that happen daily at our school...

Each day the children have opportunities to build - Lincoln logs, pattern blocks, Kapla blocks, Legos, etc.

Each day we have opportunities for kids to develop their literacy skills: reading with friends, working on their writing, and joining in discussions.

Each day when we go on our adventure walk the kids use the rocks, sticks, logs, leaves, water, and whatever else they can find to enrich their play.

But some weeks like this one, the weather is especially mild, and we get to do special things like climbing Vroman's Nose and having picnics outside. Sure we might talk about glacial chatter and striations. We might identify some trees. We might talk about erosion. But these special days are also very much about having fun.
