We are currently looking for substitute teachers, as well as an applicant to fill the following temporary position:

Supporting Teacher

Will assist with PK and Kindergarten instruction, Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 3:15 pm, March 1 - June 21.

Compensation in the range of $16-20/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Early Childhood teaching certification preferred.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or 5 years or more experience working in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Help students make friends, play together and learn strategies to constructively resolve interpersonal conflict.

• Use non-punitive techniques to shape students’ behavior.

• Introduce literacy, phonics and numbers in age-appropriate ways.

• Supervise children during recess, lunch and transitions.

• Communicate effectively with parents about the needs and growth of their children, as needed.

• Participate in bi-weekly teacher meetings, and student-led conferences.

• Complete behavioral reflections/physical incident reports as needed.

• Help manage school supplies and a clean, tidy classroom space.

• Communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher and other staff, as needed.

• Attend school functions, as possible.

• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
